Areas of focus
I work with individuals to find effective new skills to cope with anxiety, depression & life's challenges, while exploring with curiosity & confidence. I work with women, men, students, professionals, mothers and my fellow "mid-life" rockstars ... yeah, I said it ;) Together we will build a therapeutic bond to conquer life in the way you see fit.
I utilized a gentle approach to help guide you to a more open and trusting place, within yourself. I take pride in creating a non-judgmental, professional and honest space for you to come as you are - in hopes you are able to start living the life you want to live, not the one you thought you "had" to. Let's start this next chapter together.
Anxiety, Depression, Low self-esteem & confidence
Low Self-Esteem:
Ever wonder how others have gained confidence? Like, no matter how much you tell yourself to be “confident” you seem to fall back on your “internal belief system” of not feeling worthy enough? Yeah, I get that. Self-esteem is a learned experience and it’s not your fault. The good news, there is still time to “unlearn” & “learn” new ways to see yourself … as the magnificent human that you are.
Depression:
Experiencing sadness on a level that feels like nobody could ever understand is REAL. On an emotional level, depression can feel like being trapped in a deep, dark hole with no way out. I’ve been there. You may experiencing chronic symptoms, such as: isolation, numbness, fear & anxiety, frustration & irritability - to name a few. Despite what you may feel please know you are not alone.
Confidence:
The stigma surrounding what “having confidence” truly means can make you feel like it is unattainable, right? Confidence isn’t about not feeling emotions we struggle with - we ALL struggle with emotions. It’s more about how we handle adversity. When faced with a challenging experience do you find yourself reacting or responding? Moving towards healthy & assertive responding (being more mindful with what you do in the moment) is how we define your ability to be confident in believing in your abilities, even during times of uncertainty.
Anxiety:
Do you ever feel like the world around you is feeling smaller, tighter and constricting? Anxiety can be known & felt as your internal alarm system, letting you know something is not quite right. Anxiety is typically seen as a “negative” emotion, it’s NOT. Our emotions are neither positive or negative, they are signals to help us understand how we are experiencing our current situation - it is up to us to determine how we feel.
To my fellow over-thinkers & under-feelers
Do you “talk” your way out of … asking for help? … starting a new project? ... avoiding tough conversations? … truly knowing what you want or who you are?
The common “over-thinker” tends to think their way through their emotions, keeping them further & further away from how they feel - this keeps them disconnected from their whole self. You are not just your mind, there is so much more to you. Even though you may be fearful or even terrified of feeling your feelings, NOT feeling your emotions keeps you from experiencing beautiful & vulnerable connections.
Let’s get to know all aspects of who you are.
